El primer ministro Justin Trudeau ha cambiado considerablemente su gabinete, nombrando nuevos ministros para carteras clave que incluyen defensa, salud, asuntos exteriores y patrimonio, al tiempo que agrega un puñado de novatos a medida que avanza con un tercer mandato.
El gabinete de 39 miembros fue presentado el martes en una ceremonia de juramento en Rideau Hall en Ottawa. El nuevo gabinete del primer ministro mantiene la paridad de género e incluye un nuevo énfasis en las agencias de desarrollo regional.

Hay varios roles nuevos en el gabinete, mientras que muchos otros cargos han sido renovados para incluir elementos nuevos o diferentes, con solo siete ministros manteniendo el mismo título y rol que tenían antes de la ceremonia.
Entre los movimientos mas llamativos se encuentran la ratificación de la Ministra de finanzas Chrystia Freeland , la asignación del ministerio de Defensa a Anita Anand quien anteriormente se desempeño como jefa del programa de vacunación covid , el cambio al ministerio de relaciones exteriores de la MP de Montreal Mélanie Joly y la designación del MP de origen latinoamericano Pablo Rodríguez a la cartera de patrimonio Canadiense con la misión de lograr la aprobación de la controvertida BIL-C10 para regulación de los medios digitales.
